DIY SEO is a free meetup group for business owners in the St. Petersburg, FL area who are interested in learning how to do their own search engine optimization (SEO) for their business.
What is SEO you may ask?
SEO is optimizing your website so that is shows up in the local results and organic results on search engines. The ultimate goal is to get your website to rank higher than your competitors on search engines.
Do I need to have SEO skills?
All skill levels are welcome and no questions are considered stupid. I started this group because I’d like to help small businesses succeed online. There are a lot of scammers out there so it’s important to be educated. It’s also important to note that if your SEO isn’t done properly you can actually hurt your website’s rankings.
Just a side note, this group is not for SEO professionals but is for business owners who want to learn to do their own SEO.
